Tourist Visa :

• Original Passport (New + Old) at least six months of remaining validity, at least 2 blank visa pages 
• Visa Application Form - Duly filled and signed by the Applicant (consulate will not accept hand written or corrected visa application forms)
• 2 Photos: 35 X 45mm, white background, matt finish 80% face size. Teeth’s should not be visible, both eyes, ears and forehead clearly visible
• Covering letter with Applicant name as per passport, Passport Number, Date of Travel, Place of travel with Purpose of travel on Letter Head addressing to the "Consulate General of Japan, Mumbai" with Applicant Signature (If self employed required on company letterhead with seal, signature & designation)
• Income Tax for last 3 years
• Original Bank statements for last 6 months with healthy and sufficient balance
• Salary slips for last 3 months - if employed
• Original Leave approval letter from company on company letterhead
• Company registration proof e.g. Shop ACT, MOA etc - If Self Employed
• If Student - Bonafide letter / ID Card and NOC letter from School/College
• If Retired - Retirement Proof
• Hotel Bookings with complete address and contact details of the hotel or Original Letter of Invitation
• Additional Documents from Japan (all the documents should be in original from Japan)

Business Visa :

• Original Letter of Invitation from Business Associates in Japan with the company red color seal on it
